Key (Type 1), Key (Type 2), will appear, so go with Type 1. Wait for a while, then take the new key. Insert the key and turn it on. Once you have it on, I'll hit OK.

Wait for a while, and once connected, select Add key and hit OK. ‘Change the new key and turn the ignition on.’ since you’ve done that, skip and hit OK. It’s a Failure.

Alright, no problem, go back and choose the Key (Type 2). Loading the database, turn the ignition on, and hit OK. Again, choose Add Key, hit OK. ‘Change the new key and turn the ignition on’ will appear. This time turn it back off, then back on real quick, and hit OK. It’s a Success.

For each programming done, you should test out the keys and be sure to hear the locks cycle. Compare the function of your newly programmed keys with the original key to be sure that everything is still working. You can try to start your ignition and controls with the new programmed key to ensure it is both working.

And that is how you make an extra key for a 2005 Mazda 3 with the Autek IKey820 Key Programmer. Thank you, and we'll see you next time!
