Key Programming | The Autek IKey820 Adds a Transponder Key To A Ford Escape!

Key programming a 2007 Ford Escape starts with getting the right replacement. I have cut the H92 and we're going to use the Autek IKey820 to program it.

Key Programming with the Autek IKey820 Programmer

Check the list of vehicles the Autek can cover. If it is listed, begin the programming by connecting the Autek IKey820 to the OBD 2 port. When you have everything set up, the first step is to go to ‘Key Program’ and select ‘Ford USA.’ Then ‘BY VEHICLE’ we will select the Escape, 2007 and press OK.

Select the Vehicle on Autek IKey820 Key Programmer

Select Type 1, if that doesn’t work, go to Type 2, and click OK. Wait for the database to load then grade the H92 and put it into the ignition. turn it on, click OK. With this procedure, you can program the new key to the system without erasing the existing key. Please ensure you have at least one key to be added.

For each programming done, you should test out the keys and be sure to hear the locks cycle. Compare the function of your newly programmed keys with the original key to be sure that everything is still working. You can try to start your ignition and controls with the new programmed key to ensure it is working the same.

And that's how you program an H92 to this 2007 Ford Escape. It's really crazy how simple this machine is to use and how easy the steps are to follow. We really like how the Autek IKey820 guides you through each step to make sure you have the right key in at the right time. If you have any comments or questions about this procedure, let us know in the comments below!
