How to extract a broken key from a lock

When you have a broken key and you need to get it out, the last thing you want to do is push it or get it more stuck than the broken key already is.

I'm going to be using the saw tooth key extractor to get the key out.

With this saw type key extractor, look at the key in the lock. You're going to look for a ledge either on the top or on the bottom.

You're going to stick in that key extractor, but make sure you don't go push in so just push down and then caulk the key extractor up a little bit and try pulling out.

And then as you keep trying and as you start pulling it out, you will be able to get the key to come out.
