How To Build Your Own Slide Hammer For Key Extraction
Here's how you make a DIY slide hammer using vise grips.
You will need:
6" Long Pan Head Bolt 1/4" Diameter
1.5" W Washer with 1/4" Hole
3/4" Coupling Nut
How to assemble:
STEP 1: Put the washer on the 6" pan head bolt
STEP 2: Put the nut on the 6" pan head bolt
STEP 3: Take the bolt out of the vise grips
STEP 4: Replace it with the 6" pan head bolt
Done!
The best part is once you're done using the slide hammer, you can easily disassemble it back to its original form.
