If you're using shim locks, here's a quick tip for you. Take a spare magnet and attach it to the corner of your metal pinning kit. Then, take some of the shims out of the package and put them right there on the magnet. That way, when you're in the middle of a rekeying project, and you need to shim a lock, they're right there waiting for you.
