How to extract a broken key from a lock without damaging it | Locksmith trick

If you've ever tried to get a broken key out of a lock, you know how frustrating it can be! But don't worry, there is a solution! In this video, we show you how to extract a broken key from a lock without damaging it using a simple tool.

How to extract a broken key from a lock without damaging it

So, let's use the most popular key extractor called a spiral key extractor to get this broken key out of this lock.

Just by looking at it, you can see it is a sharp object. And if you put one of those in your pocket and sit down, well, you're gonna find it's going to act like a needle.

But if you look closely at the extractor, you're gonna see these little spirals that go all the way around it, which is kind of where it gets its name.

Now, an interesting thing about this key extractor if you twist it in a clockwise position, the spirals are actually going to go counter clockwise, the opposite. So, as you're spinning it in the lock, you'll see the spirals working the other way and it's going to kind of pull that key out.

Now once we have the extractor in all the way you want to kind of push against the key, push against the material that you're trying to get out.

And that's how you get a key out with the spiral key extractor.
