To use the Kwikset SmartKey tool, insert the SmartKey tool into the small hole next to your keyhole and push it in firmly. While the tool is inserted, insert your new key and turn it 90 degrees to re-key the lock. Remove the key and tool, and your lock is now re-keyed to the new key.
