A patient who is hemodynamically unstable, has uncontrolled seizures, or is experiencing active labor is generally not allowed to fly. Additionally, patients with recent heart attacks, severe respiratory distress, or contagious diseases may be restricted from air travel. Each case should be individually assessed by a medical professional.
