To reset your Kwikset lock if you forgot the code, remove the lock’s battery pack and press and hold the program button while reinserting the batteries. Continue holding the button until the lock beeps and the status LED flashes red, indicating it has been reset to factory settings. You can then set up a new code as if it were a new lock.
