Yes, it is compatible with KW10 keys, which are 6-pin keys, but you will need to cut the top shoulder of the key back to use it. Using a 6-pin key increases the number of possible key combinations and enhances security. This kwikset kw1 cylinder comes pinned for 5 pins but can be repinned to accept a 6th pin for use with KW10 keys.
