The Kwikset Rekey Kit allows you to change the key that operates your Kwikset lock without replacing the entire lock. Using the kit, you insert the current key, turn it, insert a special tool (the "SmartKey" tool), remove the old key, and insert a new key, which resets the lock to work with the new key. This process is quick and requires no locksmith expertise.
