To determine the size of deadbolt you need, measure the backset (distance from the edge of the door to the center of the bore hole), which is typically either 2-3/8" or 2-3/4". Also, check the thickness of your door—most deadbolts fit standard doors that are 1-3/8" to 1-3/4" thick.
