To reset your Kwikset lock if you forgot the code, locate the reset button (usually inside the interior cover) and press and hold it for about 30 seconds until you hear a beep and the lock flashes red. This will restore the lock to factory settings, erasing all user codes, and you can then set up a new code following the manufacturer’s instructions.
