The 83-45 padlock can be configured as either key retaining or non-key retaining, thanks to the included Z-Bar. A key retaining padlock keeps the key trapped until the lock is closed, adding security by ensuring the padlock is always locked when not in use. The Z-Bar feature allows you to configure the lock to your preference.
