To use a Hillman key machine, first select the correct key blank and secure it in the machine's vise. Align the original key in the guide and the blank in the cutter, then turn on the machine and gently guide the carriage so the cutter traces the original key’s shape onto the blank. Once finished, use the built-in deburring brush to smooth the new key’s edges.
