The best lubricant for door locks is a dry PTFE (Teflon) lock lubricant or graphite powder, as both reduce friction without attracting dust. Avoid heavy oils or standard WD-40, which can leave residue inside the lock. PTFE is generally preferred for modern locks and outdoor use.
